Organized in 1999, SEAUX- PIERCE Architecture is a professional corporation of individuals dedicated to providing high quality, efficient and cost effective building facilities to complement and enhance the environment. Chad Pierce manages the respective divisions of the company. He has programmed and designed a variety of facilities for corporate institutions as well as other similar commercial clients. Chad has extensive experience in large-scale facility programming and design, most recently having served as project architect for The Toltec Mixed Use Restoration in Trinidad, Colorado and numerous commercial renovation projects over the last 12 years.

LUXOR OFFICE - 18,000 SF OFFICE BLDG..
Lake Charles, Louisiana

Project Manager for a new 3 story office building for Ribbeck Construction new corporate office. The design challenge was to provide the maximum building area while keeping 5 Live Oak trees with trunk diameters in excess of 42”. The project is currently under construction and completion is scheduled for February 1st 2008.

PIONEER FARMS - MULTIFAMILY SUBDIVISION
Austin, Texas

Working in collaboration with Land Design Studio, served as Project Manager for a new high density Multi-Family residential product for Newmark Homes. The project consisted of modifying the original site design to incorporate the Multi-Family product with their existing single family homes. The original site was also revised to be more pedestrian friendly by adding wider sidewalks, a park area, and street trees to buffer the street from the residential lots.

TOLTEC HOTEL HISTORIC RESTORATION
Trinidad, Colorado

Renovated the Toltec Hotel, circa 1925, into a mixed-use facility with retail on the street level and two floors of luxury loft apartments. The building required structural stabilization and conformance with the State of Colorado Historical Society. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2007.

BRIDGE HOUSE - 2008 Home tour
Austin, Texas

Project Manager for a 10,000 sf home. This was the clients first time working with an Architect. Responsibilities included consultant coordination and documentation coordination along with building detailing. The steep grading of the site and the clients desire for privacy influenced the design greatly. The final solution consisted of a design that expressed the clients desire of simplifying their lives through clean lines, natural light and authentic materials.

TEX-ART, PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

Assisted the client in site selection, programming and master planning the future 25,000 sf project.

DR. MICHAEL C. JONES, EAR/NOSE/THROAT CLINIC
Lake Charles, Louisiana

Project Architect for a new Ear, Nose, and Throat Medical Clinic with multiple exam rooms, executive offices, and an adCministrative area. Responsibilities included overseeing the project schedule and budget, meeting with clients, coordinating consultants, and administering the construction document phase. To effectively value engineer the project, the building was designed in phases to meet the clients current needs and allow for growth over the next ten years. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were selected in an effort to manage life cycle cost burden to the owner.

DR. POLLARD, ORAL AND MAXIOFACIAL RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY CLINIC
Orange, Texas

Project Architect for a new outpatient medical clinic. SEAUX+PIERCE Architecture and Ribbeck Construction Corp. out of Lake Charles, LA utilized the design-build process in an effort to offer the owner a single source of responsibility in lieu of the standard design-bid-build option. Responsibilities included contract negotiations, producing and maintaining detailed construction cost estimates, designing and coordinating the installation of gas, oxygen, vacuum, and electrical backup systems, and assisted the owner in obtaining construction financing.

FIRST NATIONAL BANK RENOVATION
Lake Charles, Louisiana

Project Architect for the restoration and design of the historic First National Bank Building in downtown Lake Charles, Louisiana. Working closely with the Executive Director of Downtown Development for the City of Lake Charles, it was discovered that, not only had the building been erected during the turn of the century, but it had also been abused during its tenure. These affirmations led to our suggestion that the building should be restored back to its original form with the use of modern techniques and materials. Salvaging only the exterior walls, we renovated the structure into a multi-tenant facility.

KARA BAY RESIDENCE
Lake Charles, Louisiana

Project Architect for a carpenter’s residence on Lake Charles. The concept of this project was to capture and express the skills, craftsmanship, and personality of the owners. The owners passion for carpentry and building prompted the use of authentic materials, which became primary thematic design concepts, such as natural wood timbers (Cypress beams and Koa floors), a copper metal roof, and gas lanterns. The owners desired a home that would allow freedom from the pressures of work, a sanctuary of comfort and relaxation equipped with an exercise room, steam shower, dry sauna, swimming pool, and music studio. The home was also built utilizing energy efficient products, another element that helped to promote maximum relaxation.

MAJESTIC RIDGE RESIDENCE
Austin, Texas

Project Manager for a residence in Lakeway, Texas. The clients involved in this project, having previously worked with architects and builders, possessed a sophisticated and helpful understanding of design as well as appreciation and recognition for the importance to detail. Responsibilities included documentation coordination and building detailing. The steep grading of the site in addition to the clients sensitivity towards an existing Madrone tree was key to the placement of the house. Strong communication, good design, and clear architect/client insight, influenced this projects selection on the 2002 AIA home tour.

24 WATERFRONT PROJECT, LAKE TRAVIS
Austin, Texas

Production designer for a 9,500sf Cliffside speculative home on Lake Travis. Responsible for providing building code reviews and consultation to the project designer and produced contract documents and specifications. Assisted design team with the research and selection of materials and products incorporated into the design.

FORD RESTAURANT GROUP
Lakeway, Texas

Project Architect for the renovation of an existing green house into new administrative office suite. This project was owner Self Contracted. Responsibilities included assistance in obtaining DOT permits and site development permits, and furthermore, aiding the project superintendent in coordinating different trades during the construction administration phase.

RIVER RANCH, URBAN BUILDING
Lafayette, Louisiana

Project Manager for a mixed use multi-tenant facility in the Traditional neighborhood Development (TND) in River Ranch. Responsibilities included tenant meetings to successfully fuse the program requirements of the tenant with new urbanist principles of the River Ranch TND to program and design this project. The project challenge was combining a corporate type tenants needs with the quality of relaxation and tranquility offered by a friendly neighborhood development. The second and third floor loft housed high end townhouse units while the first welcomed other community inhabitants to the neighborhood boutique grocery store and restaurant development.

ASCENSION DAY SCHOOL RESTORATION AND ADDITIONS
Broussard, Louisiana

Assistant the principle project architect with the master plan of an existing elementary school. The master plan served as a road map for the schools expansion efforts to add a new fellowship center, gymnasium, cafeteria, administrative offices, parking areas, and vehicular circulation on a limited urban cite.

EPISCOPAL DAY SCHOOL MASTER PLAN
Lafayette, Louisiana

Designer and Project Manager for renovations and additions to existing elementary school. The project scope included replacing the existing wood windows with efficient type windows that kept the original design integrity intact as well as a mechanical systems upgrade to greater energy efficient thru wall package type units.
