We have a perpective on the acronym. Building should be viewed as a action word not a noun. "We are Building an Information Model" vs. "it is a Building Information Model". <BR/><BR/>Critical to the successful integration of computer models into project coordination, simulation, and optimization is the inclusion of informationâthe &#8220;Iâ in BIMâto generate feedback. As a shared knowledge resource, BIM can serve as a reliable basis for decision making and reduce the need for re-gathering or re-formatting information. 	<BR/><BR/>Building = Construction / Development<BR/>Information = Data Pertaining to a facility<BR/>Model = Visual form<br><br>]]></content:encoded>
